My story
For most of my life, I had virtually no boundaries.
I said yes when I meant no, and I suffered for it.
The hardest boundary I ever set was with my mother.
For years I tried to improve our relationship. Nothing changed, because nothing happened when my boundaries were crossed.
Then I understood: I had given my power away.
So I set a boundary with a consequence, and I held it, even when that was really hard.
That moment gave me my power back.
Boundaries have been my most important practice ever since.
